HR Officer (3 Month FTC)

Syme Drummond are delighted to be supporting Capability Scotland to appoint an HR Officer on a 3-month fixed term contract.
For someone ready to take the next step in their HR career, this role offers valuable exposure across the full employee lifecycle within a respected third sector organisation.
This role sits within a busy and collaborative HR team and offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing HR administration or HR assistant experience and step into a broader HR role.
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, bringing strong organisational skills, sound judgement and a proactive approach to supporting managers and colleagues across the organisation.
The opportunity
This role will suit someone who already has a strong grounding in HR administration and is looking for the chance to broaden their experience and take on more responsibility.
You’ll work closely with the HR Business Partner team, supporting managers across the organisation with a range of operational HR activity.
The role covers the full employee lifecycle and includes:
* Recruitment coordination and pre-employment checks
* Employee lifecycle administration including new starters and contractual changes
* HR reporting and data analysis
* Providing first-line advice and guidance to managers
* Supporting learning and development activity
The person
This role would be particularly well suited to someone who is currently working as an HR Administrator or HR Assistant and is ready to take the next step.
* Has experience supporting HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding or employee changes
* Is organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities
* Enjoys supporting managers and colleagues with HR queries
* Has strong attention to detail and reporting capability
* Is immediately available to start
Third sector experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
