AWS Industry Products (AIP) builds solutions for major automotive technology challenges by partnering with leading companies. Our team collaborates with strategic customers to develop industry-specific products that impact and transform industries at scale. As a Technical Business Developer, you will develop and execute an automotive-focused product sales strategy, build a joint industry GTM, and identify and close large opportunities with OEMs and Tier 1s. You will manage segment targets and maintain executive relationships across the business.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop a deep technical understanding of AWS services to communicate value to automotive manufacturers, Tier 1s, and strategic customers.
2. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, pre-sales, solutions architecture, and other teams to craft compelling proposals.
3. Qualify and nurture high-potential opportunities, guiding customers through the sales cycle and overcoming technical objections.
4. Build and expand the AIP Auto services relationship by engaging with key SIs and industry partners.
5. Drive revenue growth and service adoption to exceed targets.
6. Develop and implement go-to-market models for key segments and customers.
7. Engage with internal leadership and external customers at the executive level.
8. Collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Business Development, Product, Finance, Marketing, Training, Operations, and Legal.

Minimum qualifications
* 5+ years in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
* Experience influencing leadership decisions and managing cross-functional programs.
* 6+ years in direct sales or business development in software, cloud, or SaaS markets within the automotive industry.
* Experience with complex legal agreements.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
* Proficiency in Japanese and English.
Preferred skills
* Data interpretation and business recommendation skills.
* Understanding of technical details and working with technical teams.
* Strong analytical skills and experience influencing executives and technical/non-technical audiences.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in ambiguous environments.
* Deep understanding of automotive software solutions.
