About IOS (Integrated Operational Solutions)
Barhale is one of three delivery partners within the Anglian Water Integrated Operational Solutions Alliance. IOS is a medium complexity, capital maintenance and enhancement, Civil and MEICA, design and build delivery unit working across Water and Water Recycling to support the successful implementation of the Anglian Water AMP 8 business plan.
Site Manager
The Role
The main purpose of the Site Manager role is to manage the construction site to achieve project delivery objectives, maintaining health and safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control. You will be responsible for delivering projects to the specified quality, within the required programme, and ensuring maximum commercial performance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Construction Manager, Works Manager, and Site Teams to ensure safe project completion while exceeding customer expectations.
* Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects involving Civils and Mechanical/Electrical works in the Water industry
* Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITPs, and other Safe Systems of Works in line with company procedures
* Implement company requirements and legal regulations, with a focus on HSE legislation and quality control
* Conduct weekly site inspections and record findings
* Ensure works are carried out according to approved method statements, conduct risk assessments, and deliver toolbox talks
* Deliver work to the specified quality without defects
* Maximise the commercial performance of the contract, working closely with QS
* Assist in producing and managing construction programmes and look-ahead schedules
* Produce procurement schedules and liaise with procurement to ensure resource availability
Cost Control
* Maximise project value at all stages
* Maintain detailed site diaries and records
* Drive out costs and challenge the status quo
* Identify value engineering opportunities

* Meet monthly and weekly reporting deadlines

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Construction and Water sectors, with knowledge of Process Engineering, and likely meet all the following criteria:
Essential
* Experience as a Site Agent in Civil Engineering/Water, Utilities, and FRC works
* Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management, and cost control
* Understanding of specifications and testing regimes
* Experience managing subcontractors and teams of direct labour
* Ability to produce and review Safe Systems of Work and programmes
* Knowledge of NEC contracts
* CSCS (Site Manager), SMSTS, and managing safely certifications
* Strong communication skills and leadership qualities
