About the role
As a Cook, you will prepare, cook, present and serve meals to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with national nutritional policies and food hygiene standards. You will be responsible for timely plating and delivery to patient areas, contribute to service development such as new menus and production systems, and submit requisitions for additional food stores based on demand.
Responsibilities
* Preparation, cooking, presentation and service of meals to the highest possible standards.
* Provide food that complies with national nutritional policies and food hygiene standards.
* Ensure timely plating and delivery to patient areas.
* Contribute to the implementation of service developments (e.g., new menus, production systems).
* Submit requisitions for additional food stores as required.
Qualifications
* Right to work in the UK.
* Qualified Cook to City and Guilds or NVQ level 3 standard and Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate.
* Knowledge and experience across a broad range of cooking methods, recipe formulation and service requirements.
* Knowledge and understanding of HACCP & COSHH; trained in Fire Safety as applied in the kitchen setting.
* Allergen qualification/training.
