We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to join a leading main contractor on an 8-month Data Centre project in East London. This Site Manager role offers the opportunity to be involved across the full construction lifecycle, from groundworks and steel frame through to internal fit out, on a technically demanding and fast-paced scheme.
About the role of Site Manager
As a Site Manager, you will oversee key stages of a Data Centre project in East London, starting with groundworks, progressing through the steel structure phase, and into the internal fit out. Working for an established main contractor, you will play a key role within the site team, ensuring delivery is safe, on programme, and to the highest standard across multiple phases of construction.
Responsibilities for Site Manager
* Oversee day-to-day site operations across groundworks, steel frame, and fit out stages
* Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered to programme
* Manage site logistics and sequencing across multiple construction phases
* Maintain high health & safety standards on a complex project
* Monitor quality and ensure works meet project specifications
Requirements for Site Manager
* Proven experience working as a Site Manager on large-scale construction projects
* Experience delivering projects from groundworks through to fit out
* Background working with main contractors
* Strong understanding of sequencing, structural works, and finishing stages
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
