We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead operations on a major utilities diversion project, involving the excavation, installation, and protection of multi-utility infrastructure including water, power, gas, and tels. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily site activities in line with approved Work Package Plans (WPPs), Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs), and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuringpliance with client and legislative standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks, and point-of-work risk assessments
2. Manage plant, materials, and labour to ensure efficient delivery of works
3. Oversee excavation, ducting, chamber construction, protection slab installation, and reinstatement
4. Conduct quality inspections and verifypliance against ITP hold points
5. Record daily progress, resources, and any non-conformances or delays
6. Liaise with engineers, client representatives, and other supervisors to coordinate works
Essential Requirements:
7. Proven experience supervising utility or civil engineering works
8. EUSR (1 & 2) or NVQ Level 2/3 in Utility Avoidance / Safe Digging
9. CSCS Gold (Supervisory) or higher
10. SSSTS or SMSTS certification
11. First Aid at Work qualification
12. Strong understanding of excavation safety and multi-utility installation
13. Excellentmunication and leadership skills
14. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
15. Valid UK driving licence

18. Experience on major infrastructure projects (, HS2, Highways England)
