The Regional Marketing Lead acts as the strategic marketing business partner for the London & South regions, leading the Hyperlocal Marketing Team. This role focuses on crafting and executing strategies that drive local and hyperlocal success for Deliveroo by identifying key audiences, commercial insights, and consumer behaviours to deliver engaging campaigns across priority cities. The role will also lead strategic marketing projects to move the needle including UKI Expansion, and focussing on specific Cuisines.
The Role
Reporting to the Hyperlocal Marketing Director, this leadership role involves directly coaching, managing, and developing a Marketing Manager and Marketing Associate to achieve regional goals. They will act as a marketing business partner to London and South Regional Directors and commercial teams. Key responsibilities include:
Regional Marketing Leadership: Providing strategic direction and marketing leadership for the London & South regions.Acting as the primary marketing business partner to Regional Directors, aligning marketing efforts with regional business objectives and evaluating commercial and customer opportunities. They will act as the ‘voice’ of their regions facing into Marketing teams. Keeping a close eye on customer and commercial data, reporting weekly to Commercial counterparts to spot opportunities and threats.
Team Leadership and Development: Leading, coaching, and managing a team to deliver to high day to day standard, focusing on their professional growth and performance. Set a high bar for commercial marketing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with Consumer Insight, Strategy, and Commercial teams to identify marketing levers (Awareness, Conversion, etc.) and develop regional marketing strategy.
Build appropriate, regionally specific plans to deliver against these, including:
Data-Driven, regional specific, bespoke plans: Analysing data to develop regional marketing strategies and city-specific plans (e.g., London, Bristol, Brighton), delivered within the team.
Leveraging relevant existing marketing initiatives to drive specific impact in-region. Working effectively with the national campaigns team, loyalty, CRM, and performance marketing teams to leverage or amplify existing marketing activity to deliver against regional objectives.
Campaign Leadership and Execution: Leading the team to deliver regional campaign briefs and for localised campaign execution. Strong creative judgement and media appraisal skills required.
Strategic Projects: This role will take the lead on delivering strategic marketing projects including Cuisine and UKI Expansion.
Budget Oversight and Reporting: Managing the budget effectively, providing detailed campaign and performance reporting with clear narrative, and taking the lead on sharing best practice and learnings with the broader Marketing team.
Requirements:
Strong ability to interpret data to develop consumer-led marketing strategies.
Proven experience in coaching and leading marketing teams.
Experience acting as a strategic marketing partner to regional leadership.
Skilled in localising national campaigns.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience managing stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering results.
