Are you a competent Senior HR Officer with significant experience leading on complex Employee Relations cases?
Ashley Kate HR is looking to recruit a Senior HR Officer to join an impressive manufacturing plant in Birmingham.
Based onsite, salary up to £45,000 depending on experience.
40 hours per week
About the Role
As a Senior HR Officer, you'll be a key point of contact, ensuring key deliverables are reported for the business, actively leading and coaching on a range of complex HR issues to support the HR Manager and HR Strategy across the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Completing onboarding and offboarding programmes, including the entire employee lifecycle.
2. Preparing HR reports and metrics using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to an advanced level.
3. Managing, chairing, and leading complex Employee Relations cases end-to-end with outcomes.
4. Driving culture and change across the business, leading by example.
5. Working closely with the L&D team to identify key training areas to be delivered across the business.
6. Facilitating regular review meetings to support employees managing absence periods.
7. Supporting compliance with unions and up-to-date employment law.
8. Managing accuracy of new starters and payroll in line with compliance.
9. Participating in meetings with management.
Senior HR Officer - About You
1. Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
2. Proven experience in a Senior HR officer/Advisor role covering complex ER cases from end to end.
3. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
4. Experience with HR KPIs and process improvement activities.
5. Experience delivering projects and driving process improvements.
6. (Desirable) HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
7. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, confident in reporting complex data and preparing reports for the board.
