We are looking for an outstanding Cook who is passionate about food and wants to make a difference.

You'll be working 40 hours a week (including alternative weekends and bank holidays) at Cygnet Views, creating an excellent experience for the people in our care.

Cygnet Views is a 9-bed high dependency complex care service for women with learning disabilities, associated complex needs, and who may have behaviours that challenge.

We encourage the women in our care to make their own choices and live as independently as they are able to. To achieve this, we have developed our model of care, in which the in-house multi-disciplinary team (MDT) adopts a values-based social model of disability with "My Choice, My Voice, My Life" sitting at the heart of the model.

Your day-to-day...

* Prepare, cook, and serve nutritional, balanced, and appetising meals.
* Provide special diets, considering individual preferences and needs.
* Liaise with nursing colleagues to meet patients' nutritional and dietary needs.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas, and dining room.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and Food Hygiene Regulations.
* Handle, maintain, and store kitchen equipment according to Cygnet procedures.
* Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

You are...

* A skilled Chef/Cook capable of working under pressure.
* Preferably experienced in the care sector.
* Able to plan nourishing and attractive menus within budget.
* Holder of a food hygiene certificate, with good personal hygiene standards.
* Polite and professional, with a positive attitude towards internal and external guests at all times.
* An excellent communicator able to liaise with people at all levels.
* Able to work independently, as part of a team, and under supervision.
* [Qualified in catering to City & Guilds 706: 1 & 2 level or NVQ Level 2/3]

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
