Job Title: Site Manager
Location: Derbyshire (some travel to Head office North Leicestershire)
Salary: ?43,000 per year (includes company vehicle)
Hours: 45 hours per week
Reports to: Contract Manager
Team Size: Up to 5 direct reports (may grow)
Role Overview:
As Site Manager, you'll lead landscaping operations in a specific area, ensuring your team delivers excellent service. You'll manage people, resources, and site performance to drive efficiency, quality, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
. Ensure your team follows all health and safety procedures.
. Align your work with company goals to improve productivity and profit.
. Lead and support your team to deliver top-quality service.
. Mentor and coach Team Leaders to maintain high standards and professionalism.
. Apply strong planning, quality control, and performance monitoring.
. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and resolve issues quickly.
. Review and submit accurate daily job sheets with your team.
. Prepare sites for upcoming work and ensure work meets client expectations.
. Manage team performance and complete post-installation inspections.
. Identify opportunities for extra work or improvements.
. Solve staffing or equipment shortfalls by coordinating with other managers.
. Communicate regularly with planning teams for efficient resource use.
. Strengthen relationships with client site managers to support business growth.
. Conduct annual appraisals and manage team welfare and discipline.
. Support with hands-on landscaping tasks when required.
Skills Needed:
. Strong leadership and communication skills
. Basic IT knowledge
. Well-organised and detail-oriented
. Good time management
. Ability to build solid working relationships
. Able to manage workload and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
. NVQ Level 3 in Horticulture/Landscaping (preferred)
. Experience in landscaping (essential)
. SSSTS or similar qualification
. Full UK driving licence
. CSCS Manager's or Professional card
