Daily Rate: £95-£115 per day
About the Role
A vibrant primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join their pastoral support team from 24th November. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact by supporting children's emotional well-being, behaviour, and engagement across Key Stage 2.
As a Learning Mentor, you'll work closely with the school's SENCO and pastoral staff to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and develop positive attitudes towards school life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions for pupils who require social, emotional, or behavioural support.
2. Support classroom learning and help students engage positively with lessons.
3. Work closely with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to ensure consistent support strategies.
4. Promote emotional resilience and positive relationships among pupils.
5. Contribute to the wider school community and its inclusive ethos.
Candidate Requirements
6. Previous experience working as a Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a pastoral role within a school.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Understanding of social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH).
9. Calm, compassionate, and proactive approach to mentoring and support.
10. A genuine commitment to helping children thrive academically and personally.
