We're recruiting an experienced Catering Manager who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Chartwells on a part-time basis, contracted to 25 hours per week.
As a Catering Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring kitchens and service counters operate smoothly and delivering outstanding food experiences.
2. Supervising culinary and catering teams to maintain high standards of food and service.
3. Managing catering operations efficiently, including inventory, budgets, and action plans.
4. Monitoring KPIs and targets through regular communication with your line manager.
5. Representing the company positively and maintaining a strong brand image.
6. Identifying opportunities for new food or service concepts to increase sales.
7. Acting as a liaison between customers and teams to exceed expectations.
8. Supporting and training teams, leading from the front.
9. Ensuring health and safety standards are implemented and reviewed for compliance.
Our ideal Catering Manager will:
* Be passionate about great-tasting food and customer service.
* Have at least two years of catering experience.
* Experience managing teams in a similar role.
* Hold NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 qualifications.
* Possess a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
* Demonstrate strong financial skills.
* Have excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Be ambitious and motivated to upskill continually.
