About the Client Our client is a well-established, privately owned business specialising in passive fire protection solutions. Roles/Responsibilities Manage multiple passive fire protection (PFP) projects (£2–4 million) from inception through to completion Oversee daily site operations, coordinating fire safety and remedial (FRA) works Supervise direct labour, subcontractors, and agency staff to ensure high performance and safety standards Manage installation and inspection of fire doors, fire stopping, compartmentation, and containment systems Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing quality and safety checks Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and photographic evidence using digital tools Act as the primary point of contact for clients, residents, and internal stakeholders Ensure full compliance with fire safety regulations and standards (BS EN 1634, BS 8214, BS 9999) Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability with strong commercial awareness Implement QA processes including PQPs and ITPs, ensuring audit-ready documentation and traceability (Golden Thread) Qualifications Proven experience as a Site Manager within fire protection, construction, or fire & security sectors Strong technical knowledge of fire doors, fire stopping, compartmentation, and containment systems Experience managing large-scale projects (£2–4 million) Good understanding of fire regulations, FRA requirements, and PFP systems Experience managing subcontractors and site teams Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and contractual obligations Relevant trade qualifications or PFP certifications (preferred) Carpentry background with fire door experience (desirable) Experience working within social housing environments (desirable) Competent in IT systems and digital reporting tools Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points) Benefits Salary: Circa £48,000 per annum Company vehicle, laptop, and mobile phone 21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays Additional holiday entitlement (up to 3 extra days with service) Pension scheme Company events and team social days Opportunity to work on high-value, compliance-critical projects Supportive environment with opportunities for progression
