Job purpose: In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for all things HR admin — from coordinating recruitment and onboarding, to managing training records and answering day-to-day queries. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our HR processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with employment regulations. Person Specification: Essential: You have previous experience in a similar HR administrator role, ideally in a regulated or compliance-focused environment. You will have a strong understanding of HR Processes related to the employee lifecycle and HR best practice. Accuracy and attention to detail come naturally to you, especially when handling sensitive or confidential information. You’re organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office tools — particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word. As a strong and effective communicator, you’re comfortable dealing with people at all levels and able to explain HR processes clearly. Responsibilities: HR Administration Manage and maintain accurate employee records, ensuring documentation is compliant with data protection and regulatory requirements. You’ll support with all aspects of the employee lifecycle including but not limited to – recruitment, onboarding, probation, training, changes to terms, offboarding and reference requests. You will act as a first point of contact for general HR queries, providing timely and helpful responses or escalating where appropriate. You will monitor and manage the HR inbox, ensuring queries are logged, prioritised, and resolved efficiently. You’ll produce letters, documentation and correspondence as required. Recruitment Support Support the full recruitment process — from posting job ads and screening CVs to coordinating interviews and issuing offer letters. You will liaise with hiring managers to ensure a smooth, compliant process. You will conduct right to work checks, complete DBS checks where applicable and ensure all HR files are audit-ready. Training Administration Keep training records up to date and ensuring all mandatory training is completed and tracked will be an essential part of your role, including escalation for overdue training as appropriate. You’ll coordinate internal and external training, liaising with providers where necessary. You will track and report on all training compliance as required. Compliance & General HR Support You’ll ensure all employee files are audit-ready at all times and all documentation is complete and accurately stored and maintained. You’ll assist with regular reporting, data updates and wider HR work as required by the Head of HR. You’ll contribute to initiatives such as employee engagement, internal communications and policy reviews. Benefits: 27 days annual leave increasing with length of service.
