TWO Cooks are urgently required for Antrim Area Hospital. This position offers a rate of pay of £12.31 per hour from Monday to Friday, £16.62 on Saturday, and £20.80 on Sunday. The role involves working on a rota for 4 or 5 days per week, which may include weekends. Shifts are scheduled between 7.30am to 3.30pm or 11.15am to 7.15pm, totalling 30 to 37.5 hours per week. This position is expected to last 3 months, but may be extended for the right candidate. The main duties of this role include: Prepare meals according to hospital menus and dietary requirements. Cook food in large quantities while maintaining quality and taste. Follow recipes tailored to specific patient needs (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium, pureed diets, allergies, religious preferences). Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing food deliveries. Follow hospital policies regarding food service and waste management. Work with kitchen staff, dietitians, and healthcare providers. What we need from you Hands-on experience in food preparation and cooking. Knowledge of CoSHH regulations. NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Catering, Food Preparation, or a related field.
