We are recruiting for a reliable and experienced cook to join our busy kitchen and team. The ideal candidate should have high standards in quality and presentation, delivering nutritious meals.
As a Cook, your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and serving meals and beverages as required.
2. Working in accordance with the home's policies.
3. Carrying out kitchen duties ensuring high standards of hygiene at all times.
4. Using resources effectively and ordering food.
5. Reporting any issues or concerns raised by service users regarding catering to the Care Centre Manager.
6. Attending mandatory and in-house training as required.
7. Understanding COSHH regulations.
8. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene records as required.
Preferred qualifications and skills for the role include:
1. Minimum qualification NVQ Level 2 or 706/2 in Catering, Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate.
2. Knowledge of textured and modified diets.
3. Experience in a care, hospital, or commercial kitchen setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training can be provided.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills.
5. The ability to relate to residents in a kind and courteous manner.
