An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior HR Officer to join a growing niche manufacturing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage employee absence, including short-term and long-term, supporting employees and facilitating reviews.
2. Serve as the main contact for the HR Manager, reporting key deliverables.
3. Coach and mentor direct reports.
4. Lead HR projects aligned with departmental and business strategies.
5. Investigate absence reduction initiatives with occupational health.
6. Monitor headcount, turnover, and absence trends.
7. Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.
8. Ensure compliance with union agreements and employment law, supporting the plant team.
9. Support the annual performance review process.
10. Coordinate learning and development activities aligned with the L&D strategy.
11. Collaborate with the Training team to align training plans with operations.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will be CIPD Level 5 qualified, experienced in a manufacturing environment, with a strong track record in HR best practices and absence management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
