Human Resources Officer | City of London | £45,000 | Hybrid working | Financial Services
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced CIPD qualified Human Resources Officer to join a small but high-performing HR team in a fast-paced, professional services environment. This is a varied and hands-on generalist role, supporting a growing organisation with both UK and international operations. As HR Officer, you'll play a key role in delivering a comprehensive and professional HR service across the business. You'll provide advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of HR matters, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, absence, and training. You'll take ownership of key HR processes such as probation reviews, annual salary and performance review cycles, and will manage end-to-end operational tasks to support them. You will also lead company inductions, exit interviews, and support broader initiatives including health and safety and office facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Advise managers on policies, procedures, and ER issues including absence, performance, and disciplinary
Manage recruitment activity and support internal training initiatives
Coordinate performance and pay review processes
Conduct company inductions and exit interviews
Provide generalist HR support to employees and managers
Support office health and safety responsibilities and facilities as needed
Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement activities
Maintain HRIS (Workday) and ensure accurate employee recordsAbout You
To succeed in this role, you'll need to bring solid HR generalist experience gained within a busy, professional, and commercially-focused environment. You'll have hands-on exposure to recruitment, employee relations, and internal stakeholder support, with confidence in advising managers on day-to-day HR issues.
You'll need:
CIPD Level 3 qualification minimum
Experience using HR systems, ideally Workday
Strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail
The ability to build effective relationships at all levels
A proactive and collaborative approach
Experience working in a small HR team, with a flexible and can-do attitude
