Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for Learning Mentors to work with children with social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) and SEND needs in Primary schools in Sheffield.
Day to day responsibilities as a Learning Mentor:
* Mentoring and guiding the students in their behavioural development
* Assisting students with SEN to set and achieve personal and educational targets
* Engage and assist with various learning activities and programs
* Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours
* Be a positive role model, helping students build confidence and self-esteem
* Work closely with teachers, parents and other learning mentors to create a comprehensive support network for pupils
Requirements:
* UK classroom experience in Primary Schools
* To be available for full time employment
* An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service
Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
