Enterprise Architecture owns the high-level architecture of Ticketmaster’s technology landscape, driving an overall vision and technical choices. We collaborate closely with teams across the business, ensuring they can relate their work to our long-term strategic goals.

The Ticketmaster platforms and services enable fans around the world to access tickets and events 24/7. Working at this scale ensures continuous challenges and opportunities.
As a Principal Data Architect, you will play a vital role in Ticketmaster's Enterprise Architecture team, reporting to the Chief Architect. You will shape and drive a holistic data strategy aligned with Product & Technology and Business objectives.
Your main responsibility will be establishing a unified identity across diverse data sets, defining their structure, relationships, and entities.
You will translate complex data into understandable models, laying the foundation for machine learning applications.
Your work will underpin our data ecosystem, connecting data science, machine learning, and infrastructure.
You will immerse yourself in Ticketmaster's data environment—covering data collection, transformation, storage, organization, and access.
You will leverage data products, APIs, and query languages to optimize performance, security, and quality.
You will promote best practices in Data Architecture and ensure the relevance of the Enterprise Architecture team to Ticketmaster's challenges.
Travel may be required as needed.
What You Will Be Doing
* Developing and executing Ticketmaster's Data Architecture strategy, roadmap, and policies.
* Building relationships with business and product teams to translate requirements into data management designs.
* Advising on strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment and adherence to architectural strategies.
* Overseeing data model governance and understanding their relationships and organizational needs.
* Collaborating with architects, engineers, and product teams on data relevance, structure, and lifecycle.
* Ensuring data security, compliance, and privacy are integral to strategy.
* Setting standards and best practices for the Data Architecture community.
* Creating artifacts to communicate and align on strategy.
* Developing KPIs to ensure data integrity and quality.
* Assessing trends in data technology and regulation for potential adoption.
Technical Skills Needed
* Proven experience in data modeling, analysis, and mapping to business capabilities.
* Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, DDD principles, systems development, and information management.
* Experience with event-based, lambda, and hybrid cloud/on-premises data architectures.
* Familiarity with data warehouse platforms (preferably Databricks and Spark).
* Understanding of Data Engineering and Machine Learning principles.
* Proficiency in data-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python, Java), visualization, and analytics tools.
