What to expect
We're looking for a Reward Manager to take ownership of our core reward operations, with a particular focus on managing pay cycles, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate and timely reward processes across the firm.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on operational delivery and has a strong grasp of reward fundamentals. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end management of our annual pay review, bonus processes, and salary benchmarking and benefits renewal and administration. You will work closely with HR, Finance, and senior stakeholders to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Our team
You'll be part of a collaborative and pragmatic HR function that supports a diverse and ambitious business. Our team is known for its commercial mindset, attention to detail, and strong relationships across the firm. We work closely with leaders across all practice groups and business services teams to deliver people strategies that are practical, fair, and aligned with business needs.
This role will manage two Reward Business Partners and work closely with colleagues across HR, Finance, and Legal teams.
Role and key responsibilities
* Lead the annual pay review process, including data preparation, pay modelling, and system readiness.
* Manage the annual bonus cycle, ensuring accurate calculations, approvals, and communications.
* Maintain and update salary ranges and job evaluation frameworks.
* Provide benchmarking data and advice to support hiring, promotions, and internal moves.
* Ensure compliance with gender and ethnicity pay gap reporting and other regulatory requirements.
* Act as the subject matter expert for reward queries from HR and the wider business.
* Work with HR Systems and Finance to ensure data accuracy and robust reporting.
* Support cyclical reward activities such as benefits renewals and audit requests.
* Excellent academic qualifications from a reputable training institution
Skills and experience
We are looking for:
* Demonstrable experience in a reward or compensation role, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
* Extensive understanding of pay review and bonus processes, with a track record of managing these cycles end-to-end.
* Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with data and spreadsheets.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to explain reward matters clearly to non-specialists.
* A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
* Familiarity with reward systems and tools (e.g. benchmarking platforms, HRIS, Excel).
* A good understanding of UK reward regulations and reporting requirements.
