Ready to be the calm in the chaos?
We’re on the lookout for a confident and compassionate SEN Learning Mentor to support pupils across a range of schools in Thurrock. This isn’t tied to one setting, so if you like variety and building connections across different environments, you’ll feel right at home.
You’ll be working closely with pupils who need that extra bit of support, whether that’s navigating emotions, staying engaged in lessons, or building trust in the classroom.
What your day might look like:
* Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups with additional needs
* Helping manage behaviour in a calm, consistent way
* Working alongside teachers and SENCOs to keep things running smoothly
* Creating a safe, structured space where pupils can thrive
* Being that steady, reliable presence pupils can count on
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND, this is a must
* A patient, resilient approach, you don’t take things personally and you stay calm under pressure
* Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport
* Someone proactive, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about supporting young people
