You will be joining a leading UK main contractor with a strong presence across the West Midlands, delivering high-quality design and build projects within the construction sector. Your new role
You will join the business as a Site Manager, responsible for the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of construction projects across multiple sites within the region.
* Manage and coordinate all on-site activities including labour, plant, subcontractors, staff and equipment
* Drive the construction programme proactively, identifying risks, opportunities and implementing corrective actions
* Lead, motivate and develop site teams, monitoring performance and fostering a positive working environment
* Resolve on-site issues promptly to maintain programme, quality and safety standards
* Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, reports and site documentation
* Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders as required
* Support the Project Manager, taking direction and stepping up to lead site operations when necessary
* Coordinate procurement and material delivery with the buying and Surveying teams
* Take full accountability for site performance, health & safety, quality and programme delivery
* Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and internal safety standards
* Deliver daily coordination meetings with the supply chain on site
* Manage Temporary Works in line with design requirements and safety compliance
* Lead quality inspections and ensure standards are achieved and maintained across all site activities
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience working as a Site Manager for a main contractor
* Strong background in design and build projects
* Demonstrable experience managing health & safety, quality and site performance
* Experience managing Temporary Works
* SMSTS
* CSCS Card (Black or Gold)
