Service Care Legal are recruiting for an Employment Lawyer to join a local authority in the South London region. As an Employment and Education Lawyer, you will provide high-quality legal advice and representation to our throughout the council on employment and education-related matters.ROLE: Employment LawyerLOCATION: South LondonCONTRACT: 3 months with possibility of extension, 35 hours per weekRATE: £50ph LTD (£44.51ph PAYE inc. holiday pay, £39.72ph PAYE exc. holiday pay)Please note that this would require opffice attendance once per fortnight.The Role
* Provide high-quality legal advice and representation on employment and education-related matters
* Advise on changes in legislation and case law that may impact our organization
* Represent our organization in courts, tribunals, and inquiries
* Liaise with professional bodies, research institutions, and external organizations
* Maintain effective relationships with client departments and senior officers
Role Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FILEX
* Relevant experience working in employment and education law, preferably in local government
* Significant specialism in depth knowledge in employment and education law
* Experience of conducting complex cases with minimal supervision
* Experience of supervising and managing junior staff
