About The Role
As a Site Manager you will be working on our SHDF retrofit programme within the social housing sector, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams. You will be supporting high-standard Site Management activities for Planned Works Programmes to Housing properties, delivering best-in-class customer service, and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards.
Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of planned work contracts and all staff, ensuring contractual KPI targets are achieved and maintained
* Manage internal and external works including wall cavity insulation, new windows, doors, storage heaters and roofing (including scaffolding) within properties, tower blocks and working at heights
* Monitor work programme progression and completion via site visits; ensure works are resourced, delivered to quality standards, on time and within budget
* Manage employees and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with H&S regulations, Mears procedures and quality accreditations
* Provide quotations, manage costs, ensure final accounts are accurate and timely, and input information to support the project
* Carry out onsite inspections, investigations, prepare reports and propose improvements
* Liaise with Design Teams, Client Representatives and Consultants
* Manage employee performance in line with HR policies and procedures
* Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities; maintain professional appearance, company ID, and high safety standards
* Follow and support company policies, procedures, and asset care; report damages
* Undertake other duties as required and provide backup to other site managers as needed
Role Criteria
* SMSTS qualification
* Knowledge of PAS 2035 domestic retrofit
* EWI/CWI experience
* Asbestos awareness
* First aid at work
* Social housing refurbishment experience
* UK full driving licence
* Working at heights, including scaffold inspection experience
* Knowledge of housing improvements measured term contracts and Schedule of Rates
* Managing, monitoring, recording, and reporting of Health & Safety and compliance
* Experience of managing sub-contractors
* CDM knowledge; strong customer focus; problem solving and results orientated
* IT literate with good oral and written communication skills

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be over 21, have held a licence for more than 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points. Candidates should be aware that all roles are subject to DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
