We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Proactive Sales Executive to support the growth of our trade customer base. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, identifying opportunities through data insights, and implementing contact strategies to strengthen customer relationships and achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities:
* Develop tailored sales strategies for smaller customers, focusing on maximizing pattern book placements to engage trade customers who may not have regular visits from our sales team.
* Contact customers to review performance, understand current projects, and promote collections.
* Understand customer needs to maximize sales opportunities.
* Secure future business through excellent service and support.
* Create and deliver an effective customer contact strategy using all contact tools.
* Provide world-class customer service to maximize sales.
* Record customer feedback and actions in CRM.
* Work with Customer Service to ensure order accuracy and completion.
* Follow up on calls and emails.
* Analyze performance data to inform future calls.
* Prepare regular reports and monitor sales performance with management.
* Complete all administrative tasks associated with the role.
* Meet personal sales targets as part of the team.
* Use effective sales techniques to promote, upsell, and cross-sell products, building stronger business relationships.
Measures of Success:
* Achieving sales budgets and year-on-year growth.
* Staying within expenditure budgets.
* Number of calls and emails per day.
* Sales success relative to budgeted plans.
Connecting with Others:
* Collaborate with sales colleagues for performance.
* Manage relationships with customers and develop new business.
* Coordinate with Customer Service for service levels.
* Work with Finance to analyze customer performance.
* Share performance insights with senior management.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven sales experience, especially in call centers or mail order catalogues.
* Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.
* Product knowledge and experience in building long-term relationships.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, positive attitude.
* Experience with CRM and WG360.
* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
