Qima Coffee is a globally recognised coffee sourcing and trading business that specialises in discovering and offering some of the world’s finest coffees, with the aim of generating sustainable livelihoods for smallholder farmers. Qima was established in 2016, initially sourcing coffee from Yemen with the aim of generating livelihoods for smallholder farmers in one of the world’s most difficult operating environments. Having succeeded in (re)building Yemen’s coffee industry, in 2020 Qima expanded its coffee sourcing operations globally and the company now operates in numerous coffee producing countries and markets and distributes its coffees to over 40 countries worldwide.Position Overview:Qima Coffee is actively looking for a seasoned HR Manager to join our vibrant team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in crafting and executing HR strategies that resonate with our company's vision, cultivating an environment of excellence, diversity, and advancement. We're seeking someone with a strong background in recruitment, adeptness in HR compliance, and a comprehensive grasp of the F&B sector.What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)Recruitment and HR Strategy:Collaborate with senior management to develop HR strategies that support Origins 1450 objectives.Conduct regular assessments of HR needs and trends within the F&B industry, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding, ensuring the acquisition of top talent across all levels and functions.Establish effective onboarding processes to facilitate seamless integration and orientation for new hires.Create and execute innovative recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates, ensuring a strong talent pipeline for future organisational needs.Performance Management and Development:Design and implement performance management systems to drive employee accountability, productivity, and growth. Such as (Goal alignment, Regular reviews, etc).Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities, aligning with Origins 1450 goals and F&B best practices.Identify and address performance gaps through targeted coaching, mentoring, and performance improvement plans, ensuring employees have the support needed to succeed.HR Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws, regulations, and company policies, staying abreast of legislative changes and industry standards.Manage HR-related risks by establishing effective policies, procedures, and internal controls, conducting audits as needed.Partner with legal counsel as necessary to address complex HR issues and mitigate potential liabilities.Oversee HR administrative functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.Maintain HR systems and databases, implementing enhancements to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.You Are Good at:Proficient in navigating complex, cross-functional organisational structures.Skilful in cultivating and nurturing relationships across all levels of the organisation.Attentive to detail, employing an analytical approach to decipher intricate problems.Experienced in crafting and maintaining operational documentation and playbooks.You Bring (Experience & Qualifications):Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role within the F&B industry.You possess a passion for joining a rapidly growing organisation where transparency and excellence are paramount values.In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures, with a strong understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations.Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive organisational growth, talent development, and employee engagement.Proficiency in HRIS platforms, MS Office Suite, and other relevant software applications.Salary range for this role is £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.
