Job Description

**PART TIME HR MANAGER**

REMOTE - 1 / 2 DAYS PER MONTH IN LONDON OFFICE


Robert Half is partnering with a construction company based in London in search for there next HR Manager.


The role:


Reporting to the Finance Director, the HR Manager is responsible for managing all HR-related activities, ensuring legal compliance, supporting staff, and fostering a positive work culture.


Responsibilities:


Employee Records & Data

* Maintain confidential employee records (digital and paper).
* Prepare and issue performance notes, promotion/salary letters.
* Collaborate with Payroll & Finance for changes affecting payroll.

New Starters

* Support recruitment, offer documentation, and onboarding.
* Ensure right-to-work compliance.
* Coordinate inductions and IT/system access.
* Track key milestones (probation, anniversaries).

Leavers

* Manage offboarding process with relevant departments.
* Ensure seamless system and payroll updates.

Recruitment

* Support strategic recruitment efforts to attract and hire top talent.

Compliance

* Stay up to date with employment law and HR best practices.
* Maintain and update policies, handbooks, and legal documentation.
* Oversee Modern Slavery Statement updates and submissions.

General HR Administration

* Maintain logs (e.g. 10-year club, absence, service tenure).
* Administer contracts, job descriptions, benefits data, and allowances.
* Monitor sickness, unpaid leave, annual leave, and ensure accurate reporting.
* Liaise with external providers (e.g. healthcare clinic).

Employee Support

* Assist with staff matters, return-to-work meetings, disciplinary and performance issues.
* Respond to employee queries regarding leave and benefits.
* Support wellbeing initiatives and handle reference requests.


Requirements:


* 5+ years experience in HR related role.
* Open to 20 -30 hour part time weekly hours
* Can work remotely and independently
* Confident, yet humble and collaborative.
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and discreet with confidential information.
* Supportive and nurturing of junior staff.
* Solution-focused and unafraid to seek support when needed.
