Your new role
As an HR Officer, you will be responsible for:
Payroll & Employee Records
1. Coordinate monthly data transfers between HR and Payroll.
2. Maintain accurate employee records and issue contracts and letters.
3. Support payroll reconciliation and ensure up-to-date staffing information.
4. Ensurepliance with data protection in all HR records.
Terms & Conditions
5. Provide guidance on employee terms and conditions.
6. Advise on annual and family leave entitlements and manage related documentation.
Recruitment & Induction
7. Support recruitment processes and participate in interviews as the HR representative.
8. Assist in delivering the staff induction programme.
9. Attend employee relations meetings ( disciplinary, grievance) in a note-taking capacity.
Health & Wellbeing
10. Monitor and report on staff absences, liaising with managers and Occupational Health.
11. Coordinate workstation assessments and eye test claims.
12. Support the implementation of the Staff Health & Wellbeing Strategy.
HR Administration & Systems
13. Maintain HR systems and records in line with statutory requirements.
14. Support the development of the HR intranet and assist with data submissions.
15. Manage routine correspondence and respond to employee queries.
Professional Development
16. Stay up to date with HR best practices and participate in relevant training.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
17. Hold a relevant university degree or professional qualification.
18. CIPD qualified or working towards (minimum of Level 3).
19. At least two years' recent experience, advising and working in an HR environment, with administrative experience of HR payroll processing.
20. Excellent IT skills, with demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
21. Excellentmunication skills, both oral and written.
22. Proven ability to work with data, ensuring high levels of accuracy.
23. Experience of working in an environment in which confidentiality must be maintained.
Desirable:
24. Previous experience of using HR Information Systems and E-recruitment portals.
25. CIPD qualified Level 5.
