After School Club and Holiday Club Deputy Manager
We are currently seeking to fill the position of After School Club and Holiday Club Deputy Manager.
Erskine Stewart Melville Schools Junior School are currently recruiting for After School and Holiday Club Deputy Manager to join the e-Plus department on a part‑time, temporary basis to cover a period of maternity until June 2027. The position is available from May 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks). Hours of work will be between 12 pm to 6:00 pm, Tuesday to Friday during term time and 21 hours during school holidays, on a rota basis. During term time, the postholder will be responsible for the operations of the School’s P1 to P4 service and during holiday periods, the postholder will be responsible for the operations of the School’s Nursery/P1 to P7 services.
The purpose of the After School and Holiday Club Deputy Manager role is to lead an effective and motivated team to deliver high‑quality out‑of‑school care which meets the needs of the children and their families. Key duties include providing support to the Practitioner on a daily basis and evaluating the provision on a weekly basis. The role also involves ensuring a consistent approach is taken throughout the provision as well as supporting children and staff and being included in staff ratios on the floor.
The successful candidate will be a kind, enthusiastic, and responsible individual who prioritises the interests of children and works well within a team. They will have experience working with children, possess or be actively working towards a recognised childcare qualification, and demonstrate strong organisational skills.
The salary range for the After School and Holiday Club Deputy Manager is between £20,456 to £22,462 pro‑rata per annum. Remuneration is dependent on skills and experience. The postholder will be based at the Queensferry Road site during term time and will be based at the Ravelston site during holiday period.
