Overview
A Sales Executive in York is wanted by a continuously expanding successful training business that operates across various markets and sectors. This Sales Exec position is suited for someone who is new to sales or someone already working in a similar sales or account management position. If you are looking to get into sales and account management this will provide you with the support and training to be successful as long as you bring the right attitude and desire to succeed. The role involves making calls to existing clients and dormant accounts to expand on previous sales of training courses and to develop the accounts, as well as cold calls into new targeted clients or leads you discover. You will work closely with the Business Development Manager on a day-to-day basis to help the organisation achieve its targets while developing your career within a business that values development of its people.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for making professional outbound calls into existing and dormant accounts and speaking to decision makers who can place orders for training.
* Answer incoming sales calls and be responsible for dealing with training enquiries, providing accurate information.
* Work side by side with the Business Development Manager and the rest of the sales team to hit targets.
* Work closely with the in-house marketing team to promote credible email campaigns and follow up on all responses.
* Update CRM database with all client information ensuring contact and company details are correct and up to date.
* Reply to customer emails and calls in a timely and professional manner.
* Attend exhibitions throughout the country as well as client meetings with colleagues.
Preferred Ideal Experience & Skills
* Experience in sales and/or account management.
* Demonstrate strong client account management and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills with a clear and confident telephone manner.
* Professional approach when working and representing professionals in the marketplace.
* Ability to build strong rapport quickly.
* Exposure within or selling into M&E clients, Universities, NHS, Councils and similar client bases would be ideal but not essential.
* Ability to think on your feet.
* Demonstrate the ability to consult and understand client needs and match accordingly.
* Identify revenue opportunities across market sectors.
* Strong prospecting skills and the ability to build customer relationships through consultative selling for long-term business relationships.
* Be a strong team player but with the ability to work on your own initiative.
