SEND Tutor & Learning Mentor (EOTAS)
Wokingham & surrounding areas – flexible part‑time or full‑time opportunities. Immediate work is available, with a significant increase in placements expected from September 2026 as our EOTAS and alternative provision programmes expand.
Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
What Makes This Role Different?
Unlike a traditional school setting, you will work individually with students, building strong relationships and tailoring support to each learner’s specific needs. It is ideal for school‑based LSAs and TAs seeking greater flexibility, variety and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver personalised 1:1 SEND tuition and learning support.
* Help students develop confidence, resilience and engagement with learning.
* Adapt activities to suit individual needs and learning styles.
* Support literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum areas where appropriate.
* Encourage positive routines and learning behaviours.
* Build supportive and professional relationships with students and families.
* Record progress and provide updates to Quantum Scholars.
Students & Needs
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Trauma‑related difficulties
* Anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance
* Medical needs
* Learning difficulties and additional educational needs
Sessions are typically delivered within the student’s home environment, with a parent or carer present throughout.

* A calm, patient and encouraging approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Confidence working independently in a 1:1 environment.
* Flexibility to adapt support to different students and circumstances.
