We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee the Civils aspects of a major Transmission and Distribution (T&D) project based in Norfolk. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team working on critical infrastructure in the energy sector. The role offers an immediate start with a competitive freelance rate.
Key Responsibilities:
·Manage and oversee the daily operations of the site, ensuring the smooth delivery of civils works related to T&D projects.
·Ensure the project is completed to the highest standards, within budget and on time.
·Lead and supervise site teams, including subcontractors, and ensure effective communication and coordination.
·Oversee health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance across all works.
·Monitor progress and report to senior project management, highlighting any issues or delays.
·Ensure that site records and documentation are up-to-date and accurate.
·Manage stakeholder relationships, including liaising with local authorities and other contractors.
·Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality specifications.
Requirements:
·Proven experience as a Site Manager on civils projects, ideally within the Transmission & Distribution or similar infrastructure sectors.
·Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
·In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and the ability to ensure a safe working environment.
·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
·Relevant qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).
·Ability to start immediately and commit to a freelance contract for 6-12 months.
·A proactive approach with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Desirable:
·Experience with T&D infrastructure or similar high-value civils projects.
·Previous work experience in Norfolk or East Anglia region is beneficial.
