Rate of Pay: £20.81- £27.58 per hour
Summary:
This role is for a Contact Supervisor within the Children's Social Care section of the Eva Armsby Family Centre, part of the Children's Services Directorate at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.The main purpose of the job is to plan and provide a high quality, child focused, and safe contact service for children and their families/carers. The Contact Supervisor will provide supervised contact, primarily targeted at families with complex needs in a diverse local community. They are responsible for maintaining high-quality records of interactions, child protection concerns, and health and safety issues
Responsibilities:
* Providing supervised contact between children and families/carers, ensuring high-quality records are kept of interactions, child protection concerns, and health and safety issues.
* Supporting families, where appropriate, to progress to independent contact within the community
* Ensuring the provision of services that protect, support, and enable children to maximize their potential and enhance their identity
* Maintaining personal and professional development and participating in appropriate training/development activities
* Ensuring all duties are discharged in accordance with the councils policies, Code of Conduct, and relevant regulations/legislation
* Complying with the councils equal opportunities and diversity policies, ensuring anti-discriminatory practice.
Essentials:
* NVQ3 in Child Care or Play Work, NNEB, or equivalent
* Experience of working with children in need of support and protection
* Experience of direct work with children
* Good understanding of safeguarding procedures and processes

* This role requires an Enhanced DBS
