Our client, with a part time residence in Sudbury (North Essex / Suffolk border), requires a temporary, hands-on, live-in Housekeeper/Cook, for 3 months, starting asap. You will be responsible for maintaining high housekeeping standards, preparing simple home-cooked meals, and assisting with dog care. The role requires autonomy, discretion, and a calm, organised approach.
Key responsibilities:
1. Full housekeeping of an 8-bedroom Georgian property
2. Bed making, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
3. Maintaining a clean, well-organised kitchen
4. Preparing fresh, family-style meals when required
5. Daily care of two dogs (walking, feeding, occasional sitting)
6. Overseeing contractors and reporting maintenance issues
7. Running local errands and managing household supplies
8. Meeting and greeting guests
9. Driving duties (manual vehicle provided)
Candidate Specification:
10. Proven experience in a similar private household role
11. Strong housekeeping skills with excellent attention to detail
12. Confident cook for simple, nutritious meals
13. Comfortable with large dogs
14. Full, clean manual driving licence preferred
15. Discreet, proactive, and able to work independently
16. Comfortable in a rural setting and available for a minimum 3-month commitment
