Quality Manager Location; Gravesend in Kent Salary: Circa £50k - £55k plus £5k bonus A leading printing company who supplies products to the food industry now requires a Quality Manager to join their team. The company boasts Success through new technical innovation in driving growth with the company requiring additions to support infrastructure. An opportunity has subsequently arisen for an experienced Quality Manager to join the Management Team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of strong process improvement and QMS within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, along with solid know how of running and owning both external and internal customer audits from major brand names and authorities. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will support the promotion of a strong quality, product safety, health and safety culture that is already embedded in the business. Quality Manager –Job role: Manage s small team of Quality Inspectors, Quality Supervisors, HSE Lead (5 people in total) * The quality assurance processes and procedures used in the business. * Maintain the ISO 9001 standard and BRC compliance and audit management. * Customer audits undertaking 8D, 5why, 6S, Route Cause and other quality related tools and techniques * Tracking customer complaints and managing root cause analysis and corrective actions and resolutions through the production teams. * Conduct Supplier Audits * Oversee the Health & Safety on site with the help of the HSE Lead. * Working with the management teams to ensure all SOPs are valid and up to date. * Setting of QA compliance objectives and ensuring targets are achieved, reporting progress regularly to the senior management team. The ideal candidate MUST come from a FMCG background as a Quality Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience: * Hold a recognised Engineering or science related qualification such as HNC, HND or Beng * Experience of utilising Quality Tools such as 8D, 5WHY, 6S, Route Cause etc * Managed and maintained ISO 9001 and BRC * Ideally have packaging or printing experience * Experience of managing customer and supplier issues * It would also be beneficial if you hold a SixSigma qualification but not essential
