Take on a role which is considered a crucial position for the business, managing a team who provide support to both the customer base, the senior leadership team, the external field sales team and exposure to some of the company's key customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of up to 8 Customer Service Coordinators, providing invaluable support internally and externally. Be the first point of contact for customers with questions or queries, upselling or cross‑selling where opportunities arise.
* Support the sales team in bringing on new clients: confirm requirements, prepare and submit quotes, follow up, and monitor after‑sales processes such as order intakes and design work to ensure smooth onboarding.
* Directly manage 2‑3 major accounts alongside the sales team, ensuring seamless delivery upon agreed SLA’s and on‑time, full order fulfillment. Coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, Design and Logistics to stay informed of capacity changes and manage expectations and workload efficiently.
* Monitor and manage KPI’s and targets for the team, identify training needs, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching.
* Act as the central point that pulls all departments together, building credibility with internal colleagues to foster collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in customer service management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* Deep understanding of real‑time manufacturing processes.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in sales software and CRM systems.
* Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
* Live within commutable distance to Wigan.
Package
* Basic salary up to £55,000.
