Job Description
The In-house Employment Lawyer will be:
3. Leading contentious employment litigation and tribunal representation
4. Advising on non‑contentious matters: restructures, policies, TUPE, redundancy
5. Supporting HR on investigations, disciplinary processes, and settlement agreements
6. Monitoring and advising on employment and people-related regulatory changes
7. Coaching internal stakeholders and delivering training sessions as needed
The Successful Applicant
The In-house Employment Lawyer should be:
8. A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years PQE in employment law
9. Experience from a leading law firm or in-house
10. Skilled in both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters
11. Experienced with FS regulatory frameworks (e.g., SMCR, FCA/PRA) would be an advantage
12. A clear communicator with strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
13. Comfortable working in-house within a complex, collaborative legal function
