Location: Bamber Bridge, Lancashire
Responsibilities – Not Limited To
* Lead and motivate a team to deliver all aspects of planning and operations.
* Deliver works safely and on time, while adhering to requirements.
* Manage operatives reporting into them.
* Conduct detailed and thorough site visits.
* Maintain accurate records of site resources, materials and plant and provide daily resource sheets.
* Manage subcontractor performance.
* Ensure operatives have appropriate vehicles, equipment, stores, and skills to perform allocated work.
* Ensure operatives have correct PPE while working.
* Presite when required to confirm additional requirements for completing works due to locations.
* Liaise with customers, clients, subcontractors, local authorities and other interested third parties regarding past, present, and future works.
* Provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessments and coaching to ensure gangs perform to company standards.
* Perform quality on-site assessments (eight audits per month minimum four on-site).
* Regularly undertake toolbox talks, briefings, and other communications.
* Perform weekly fleet and plant checks to ensure maintenance is carried out within required timescales.
* Maintain own levels of skills and knowledge to do the job effectively.
* Comply with relevant company HSEQ and welfare policy provisions.
* Ensure all client KPIs are met or exceeded (PM role included).
* Ensure regulatory data and job specifications are checked and fed back to a high standard.
* Keep operative training records and ID cards up to date by liaising with the training department.
* Manage day-to-day HR queries and ensure HR processes are followed.
* Ensure timesheets are submitted on time and verified; where necessary, conduct telematics checks.
* Ensure information from site teams is received to support sales activities.
* Ensure operatives driving company vehicles adhere to policy, with coaching or disciplinary actions as needed.
* Manage and assess the competencies of all operatives on site through the competency assessment programme.
Experience And Qualifications Required
* Management skills to supervise and lead crews.
* Systems: competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Health, Safety & Environment: thorough knowledge of H&S policies/procedures and safe systems of work.
* Operational Understanding: relevant experience, qualifications/accreditations to deliver contractual, operational and safety requirements.
