Equifind are excited to team up with a global payments firm, who are looking for some interim Safeguarding & Client Money support to join the team. You must have some strong client money exposure as you will be expected to be the expert in this space.
Key responsibilities and duties for this position:
* Assist in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the safeguarding oversight & control framework.
* Support the review and sign-off of daily safeguarding reconciliations.
* Assist with the transition of UK safeguarding requirements into the CASS 15 regime.
* Possess a strong understanding of operational risk and regulatory compliance in regard to client assets.
* Coordinate and liaise with external audit and other external reviews.
* Undertake first-line reviews of business processes that interact with the safeguarding regime.
* Provide BAU weekly updates, monthly account reconciliations, and communication with key stakeholders on safeguarding matters.
What are we looking for
* 2-5 years’ experience working for a payments firm would be preferred
* Strong understanding of client money rules
* Strong knowledge of operational process & client money reconciliation
* Experience of liaising with external auditors, communicating with regulators
* Show a high level of proficiency in the regulatory reporting space
* Providing business support with identifying and training internal teams on safeguarding requirements
* Show an ability to work independently and as part of the wider team

The business is in the payments space and has grown considerably over the past 5 years. You will be involved in a very dynamic business that will provide you with an exciting project to be a part of.
With offices all over the world you will be joining an international business that is at the forefront of its sector.
For this role, you will work closely with the finance, treasury and operations teams to ensure a high level of safeguarding is put in place.
This role will be hybrid with four days in the London office per week, so you integrate with the wider business regularly and get a great feel for things.
Daily Rate/Salary
This exciting opportunity for a safeguarding & reconciliation manager will pay between £55k-£75k, depending on your qualifications and industry experience.
This assignment will be earmarked for 6-12 months in length.
We will be having interviews over the next few weeks with a view to starting this assignment in May.
