HR Manager – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Were partnering with a highly regarded financial services organisation to appoint a HR Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position where youll oversee the full employee lifecycle, provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 3 HR professionals
* Managing day-to-day HR operations and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional HR service
* Acting as the escalation point for complex employee relations cases
* Providing expert advice on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, and organisational change matters
* Partnering with business leaders to deliver pragmatic and commercially focused HR solutions
* Supporting recruitment strategy, workforce planning, and talent initiatives
* Leading and contributing to HR projects, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and regulatory requirements within a regulated environment
About You
Were looking for a confident and credible HR professional who can quickly establish themselves as a trusted partner across the organisation.
To be successful, youll have:
* Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Business Partner
* Expert-level knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations
* Strong experience managing complex ER casework from start to finish
* Previous experience leading or mentoring HR team members
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
* The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery
* Experience within financial services or another regulated environment would be highly advantageous
* CIPD Level 5 qualified as a minimum (Level 7 preferred or equivalent experience)
