Live in Housekeeper Cook Job, Gloucestershire
We have a wonderful position for a confident Housekeeper / Cook to take care of a beautiful large 11-bedroom property in Gloucestershire. This is the full-time residence of a couple who have four grown children who visit often.
You will be working alongside two additional housekeepers, there is a driver, and a team of up to 5 gardeners. This is a close-knit, busy household, so being a team player is essential.
The family enjoys entertaining, and you will be required to assist with front-of-house duties informally when they have guests. The household can be either very busy or quiet, so flexibility is key.
The ideal candidate would be a confident family cook, someone who enjoys cooking is essential and who is happy to cook for up to 10 people, when guests are in residence, extra support will cover the cleaning and further support will be hired for more than 10 people.
Duties will include:
1. Open the home
2. Housekeeping
3. Laundry, ironing and linen
4. Packing and Unpacking suitcases
5. Care of delicate items and fine fabrics
6. Silver polishing
7. Family cooking
8. Assisting with dinner parties
9. Front-of-house duties when guests are in residence
10. Pet care (3 dogs & 3 cats)
11. House & pet sitting when the principals are away
12. Shopping for the household
13. Flower arranging skills would be a bonus
14. Close the home
The ideal candidates must be hard-working, have exceptional attention to detail, be able to work within a team and use their own initiative when completing tasks. You must be a driver with your own car and be happy to have an enhanced DBS check.
Start date: Willing to wait for the right candidate
Working week: 5 days a week, to include weekends
Working hours: 9am – 6pm (Split shifts will be required in busier times, with a later finish)
Accommodation 2-bedroom cottage with separate garden 5-minute walk from the property. All bills included. Pet cats would be considered
Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 GPA
