Help Shape the UKs Energy FutureQuality Manager Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell CAs part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.This role will be within theEnabling and Earthwork Section.What will you do?Ensuring the Project produce Quality management planning (including business unit/contract quality plans and industry specific plans)Challenging systems and processes to ensure best practice and continual improvementEnsuring the development,maintenance,and application of appropriate content for the BMS to meet theneeds of the businessEnsuring any specific Project or SBU standardsrequirements are effectively built into the BB ways of working within the BMS and / orlocal Quality PlanningMonitoring and report Project/SBU business performance relating to Quality and agree (and monitor) management actionsto drive performance improvementsUndertaking investigations and implement effective root cause analysis(and enable theidentification of corrective actions)Ensuring business awareness of Quality policy and BMS quality requirementsCoaching & developing quality skills in business streamsEnsuring the businessis compliant with ISO 9001 and other client/industry/Project/SBU qualityrelated requirementsProvision of Quality related training to equip the business with the skillsto drive improvements in Quality performanceInterfacing with audit function to support local processesProviding support to allow Management System Reviewsto be successfully conductedFacilitation of quality related improvement initiativesProduction of appropriate reports and management informationEnsuring a relentless focus on Zero HarmSupporting the business unit external accreditation process (including ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and industry licences) to ensure it can operate in its chosen sectorWhat are we looking for?Knowledge & SkillsEssentialQuality subject matter expertise and proven record of accomplishment in Quality ManagementConfident in working with Senior Management and able to challenge existing ways of working to support business improvementThe ability to provide Quality leadershipBuild strong relationships with delivery teams and project managers.Substantial practical experience in quality management in Divisional/SBU sectors.Training and facilitation skills and experienceEither a CQI Member or working towards membershipWorking knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.Previous experience of managing a team.Competent user of modern office computer systems e.g. Microsoft OfficeHas an ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts.Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion.Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective and persuasive manner.Has good interpersonal and communication skillsIs a self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to their function.Can work within a multi-discipline team.Able to command respect across the business and within the Function.Is good at building relationships and can influence effectively.Can demonstrate initiative and resilience.CSCS Card HolderDesirableKnowledge and experience of working to UK and international standards and codes of practice for the UK Nuclear sectorPreferably with experience of working in a construction environment, with Mechanical, Civil, and electrical knowledgeQualifications & ExperienceEssentialA formal qualification in Quality Management e.g.
