Job Title: Site Manager Place of Work/Group Company: Nijhuis Saur Industries Limited, site based within the UK. Summary: Nijhuis Saur Industries are currently looking for a Site Manager to join our UK Project team. The Site Manager will be responsible for delivering projects through construction phases, reporting to the Construction Manager. The Nijhuis project scope is for the engineering design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of process technology and equipment. The process technology includes mechanical, electrical and control equipment, as well as interfacing with the civil engineering works (provided by others/Client). Key items of technology/process include anaerobic reactors, biogas system, FlooDaf & activated sludge basin, secondary clarifier, cooling towers, chemical dosing system, pump pits, pumps and associated pipework/pipe racks, valves, along with electrical power, control and instrumentation systems. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include the day to day and week to week planning, coordinating, and communicating with the sub-contractors, and other key stakeholders as well as verifying construction packages and management of onsite labour and liaison with onsite client personnel and scope progressResponsibility for the day to day, week to week successful implementation of the construction programme, meeting, or exceeding client/contractual obligations.Responsible for the execution of the construction in line with the plans/specifications.In depth knowledge of managing sub-contractors and associated resources as required.Review and, or approval of the sub-contractors RAMS. Ensure that the relevant site and safety inductions are completed. Check the competencies of the sub-contractor workforce. Ensure that the on-site permit system is both known and adhered to. Experience of coordination between design teams and construction.Support with programme activities including but not limited to, change management, and schedule control.Supervise delivery of the project via the sub-contractors identify risks and opportunities and work with key stakeholders to optimise project delivery.Manage and develop the onsite sub-contractors and on-site client relationships.Attend weekly meetings onsite to review performance and construction target deadlines, reporting progress and reasons behind any change to the Construction ManagerAttend project meetings with client contractors, onsite personnel, and other stakeholders.Implementation of a stringent health and safety policy onsite making sure a best-in-class safety environment is adhered to (health and safety policies, regulations, and acts). Confirm construction contractor safety programs are submitted, approved, and followed by all parties involved in the project. Deliver Toolbox talks and co-ordinate with NSIUK HSE department.Maintain a solid working relationship with the client.Required Skills/Qualifications (Required):HNC Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering10 years + experience with onsite coordination, management of multiple subcontractors and suppliers, control of work areas and quality control on large-scale and complex water and wastewater treatment plant projects. Extensive experience within H&S Management in an operational setting, involving method statements, accident & incident investigation, understanding of current H&S legislation and competence in the use of H&S Management.Strong leadership and management skills.Knowledge and experience of CDM regulationsExperience, and/or knowledge of being the Principal Designer / ContractorCSCS Card.SMSTS qualified.
