The Role
* Evaluation and approval of new products to ensure the required standard of quality and reliability.
* Evaluation/audit of new and existing sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure high standards of quality are achieved.
* Ensuring the company’s products meet the required British, European, and International Standards, and National wiring regulations.
* Liaising with third-party accreditation bodies such as UL, ESV, Dekra, CQC, TUV, and VDE.
* Undertaking product assessments and comparisons with competitor products, including the production of technical and comparative reports.
* Working with customers, up to the Director level, to ensure a total understanding of their requirements and how the company can best meet them.
* Review, evaluation, and reporting on customer product quality or application issues.
* Maintaining the company’s compliance and accreditation with ISO 9001:2015.
* Conducting environmental reviews and reporting to help ensure the company’s adherence to all necessary standards and best practices.
The Candidate
* The role would ideally suit a Degree or HND-qualified Electrical or Electronic Engineer with previous working experience and customer-facing interaction within the industrial sector.
* A strong understanding of electrical and electronic theory as applied to component engineering design and technology, and its impact on product quality and reliability.
* A solid understanding of manufacturing quality processes and their impact on quality.
* The ability to understand and communicate technical requirements and processes to our production partners.
* Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and reports clearly, respectfully, and concisely.
* Good team and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage with internal teams and external sales teams.
Salary
The salary offered for this position is £30,000-£40,000, contingent upon meeting all key qualifications and abilities.
