Overview
HR Administrator [Temporary Cover] (Part Time) at Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy. This is a maternity cover role within the department. The part-time hours are 22.5 per week, to be worked over 3 days (Wednesday to Friday preferred, to be discussed at interview).
Responsibilities
* Provide professional and efficient HR administration support within the department, reporting to a Senior HR Coordinator.
* Advise on HR procedures and coordinate recruitment and visitor processes.
* Coordinate onboarding of new starters, including dealing with immigration and pre-employment paperwork.
* Work collaboratively with HR team members to deliver a high-quality HR service in a busy environment.
What you will need
* HR administration experience is desirable; strong administrative and organisational skills with high accuracy are essential.
* Excellent interpersonal and administrative abilities; able to work well within a busy team and build relationships with a diverse group of people.
* Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office packages; highly organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise work in a demanding environment.
* Tact and discretion when handling confidential personal information.
* Previous HR experience is not essential but is desirable.
Other Details
* Probation: Six-month probation period, during which the role holder is expected to work in the office. On successful completion, up to 1 day per week may be worked from home, depending on team needs.
