Purchasing Administrator Job Title: Purchasing Administrator Department: Purchasing Type: Full Time Permanent 40 Hours Per Week Location: Office Based Belfast BT12 7AL Job Purpose Reporting to the Buyer, you will provide first class, professional administrative support to the purchasing function and its internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are updated on a regular basis regarding the progression of purchase orders. The role will provide coordination of multiple tasks simultaneously to ensure that suppliers' price, delivery timescales and quality standards are achieved. You will be used to working in a busy administrative environment, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise. This role offers a clear pathway into a Buyer / Purchasing role for the right candidate, with opportunities to grow and take on more responsibility. The Role Raising and processing purchase orders Communicating with suppliers via email and phone Monitoring deliveries and chasing outstanding orders Maintaining accurate supplier and pricing records Liaising between purchasing, production, and the sales/customer service team to ensure regular and precise communication is maintained Assisting with raising purchase orders for maintenance, repair and operational requirements Supporting the Buyer with project specific administration and data collection Seeking ways in which processes within the department can be improved Adherence to all GDPR policies and standards outlined by the company Adherence to all health, safety, environmental & quality policies and standards outlined by the company Supporting the purchasing/buying team with daily tasks Assisting with stock control and inventory checks General administrative duties within the department What We Are Looking For Strong organisation, time management and communication skills A positive attitude and willingness to learn Proven administration experience desirable Proficient in using all Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel An excellent level of attention to detail Ability to work as part of a team Ability to proactively use your own initiative and prioritise workload whilst meeting deadlines Ability to operate effectively and flexibly within a fast-paced environment Professional communicator with sound interpersonal skills The ability to build and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders, both within the company and externally Interested candidates should forward a copy of their CV.
