Job Purpose
As the overall owner of people activity at Tradeprint, you’ll play a key role in shaping our culture and supporting our continued growth. Working closely with managers and leaders, you’ll coach and guide them to build engaged, high-performing teams aligned to our values and business objectives.
You’ll lead and continuously develop the HR function, ensuring we reflect best practice, stay aligned with emerging trends, and maintain a people-first approach that helps us achieve our strategic goals.
This is a hands-on role, supporting a growing team of 175 employees as an HR team of two. Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Lead the HR/Admin function to deliver a consistent, positive experience
* Develop and manage the recruitment process, championing our EVP and employer brand.
* Represent Tradeprint externally, building relationships with agencies, suppliers and partners that support talent attraction and workforce development.
* Coordinate a smooth and welcoming onboarding programme that supports new hires and embeds our culture.
* Partner with managers to deliver consistent performance and probation reviews and encourage quality development conversations.
* Own our people systems, seeking ways to streamline processes and enhance their value.
* Provide expert advice on people matters and oversee complex employee relations issues with fairness and consistency.
* Maintain and update policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with business needs.
* Lead employee recognition and wellbeing programmes.
* Identify and implement initiatives that promote a strong workplace culture and boost engagement.
* Review and enhance approaches to employee engagement and internal communication.
* Lead on reward initiatives, including salary benchmarking, salary structures and benefits reviews.
* Partner with department heads on workforce planning and recommend appropriate talent strategies.
* Design and deliver training materials, workshops and development initiatives.
* Develop leadership and team development programmes that build engagement and improve organisational effectiveness.
* Provide regular people data, metrics and insights to support decision-making.
* Collaborate with other departments on health and safety matters, supporting investigations and ensuring appropriate documentation is in place.
The ideal candidate for this position will bring:
* A strong HR background with experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
* The ability to make a positive impact quickly and lead with both energy and empathy.
* Proven recruitment experience, experience in navigating skills shortages with creative approaches to talent attraction would be an advantage.
* Confidence in managing employee relations cases with a balance of compliance and compassion.
* The credibility to challenge and support managers constructively.
* Experience in change management and a coaching approach to supporting others through change.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels.
* CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
* A solid understanding of UK employment law and current HR best practices.
This role is a permanent, full-time role, based in our Dundee Head Office with the opportunity for some hybrid working. The salary for this role is £45,000- £55,000 per annum.
