Job Description The Assistant Rail Timetable Planner will assist the Timetable Planner in providing the Rail Services Division and all associated departments with short-term timetable alterations, train crew and set working alterations with regards to holidays, engineering closures and planning events in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will also ensure the cost-effective use of the available fleet and provide cover for the Timetable Planner & Rail Validation Systems Manager in their absence in respect to holidays, sickness or unavailability. Essential Criteria
1. Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, including English and Math¿s or alternatively, be able to demonstrate at least 2 years relevant experience in a planning post.
2. Minimum 2 years¿ experience of working within a transport operational environment.
3. Experience of analysing information.
4. Experience of producing information to a high level of accuracy.
5. Experience of devising and implementing improvement measures and solutions.
6. Experience of communicating with a range of audiences.
7. Experience of using MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Desirable Criteria
8. Minimum of 3 years¿ experience in an operational role.
9. Experience in the management and delivery of rail services.
