Mobile Outdoor Instructor - Middlesbrough

Package Description

Location: Middlesbrough

Contract type: Full time, permanent position – 40 hours per week

Salary: From £24960 to £29000 (depending on qualifications)

It's you we need!

* Would you relish the opportunity to work long term with small groups of young people?
* Help them to develop their outdoor skills and give them unforgettable experiences?
* If so, then we need to hear from you.

We are rolling out our Outdoor Education Development Programme offer across schools and children’s homes in the area. We are looking for multi-skilled outdoor instructors to work across the region and deliver a range of outdoor educational activities as part of this programme. This is a full-time year-round role, with potential for personal and professional growth and development.

Who are we looking for:

* You will have a range of qualifications in a variety of outdoor activities.
* You will be passionate about the outdoors and share this passion with others.
* You will have experience and qualifications in outdoor activities and be willing to work with our staff team to develop these further.
* Each day is different, and the majority of the sessions you will deliver will be long-term, building skills and confidence over the year with our participants.
* This is not your normal outdoor centre job; the possibilities are only limited by your imagination (& Qualifications!)

You will need to be an excellent communicator and have great people skills. You should be able to manage a group in potentially challenging situations.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable; however, we are excited to hear from applicants with the right attitude, enthusiasm, and outdoor skills.

If you are ready to start your adventure with us, join our team and discover the thrill of a career in the great outdoors.

Benefits with this role:

* Progressive pay scale – the more qualifications you earn, the higher your pay
* Training and development courses including national governing body awards and/or routes to qualified teacher status.
* A wide range of career development opportunities across Peak and the wider Keys Group
* Company Pension scheme
* 33 days paid annual leave (25 days + Bank Holidays)
* HAPI App – Employee assistance, discounts, and rewards.
* Social events and access to equipment
* Staff Referral Scheme – Refer a friend to join Keys Group and split a £500 referral bonus between you

Qualifications:

You must hold at least one of the following qualifications:

* RCI or CWI or other relevant ropes-based qualification
* ML or HML Award or equivalent
* Mountain Bike Leader/instructor or equivalent
* Paddle UK Instructor / Coach or equivalent
* RYA instructor or equivalent
* DofE Assessor
* Archery GB Instructor award
* Valid First Aid Qualification

Safeguarding:

Successful applicants will require an enhanced DBS check with child and adult barred checklists included – if you do not have one, this can be instigated for you.
